A few days ago, Ndani TV released the trailer for the second season of ‘Rumor Has It’ and I have to say, I was a little disappointed and to be honest, I’m not entirely sure why.
Here’s the trailer, you can check it for yourself:
So I guess its an anthology series.
?? Was it always designed to be anthology series or could they not get back the cast of the first season? Perhaps everyone has moved on to other projects, ???? who knows?
I’m not sure yet, but I think I might skip this one. I’m actually going to miss watching Uru Eke and the entire cast of the show week after week. I think that’s part of my problem that I was looking forward to seeing them and now we’re getting an entirely new albeit talented cast.
I actually really like Linda Ejiofor (she’s beautiful, talented and charismatic) and I should really be looking forward to seeing this but, tbh, I don’t even know. I actually hope this show does well and considering the number of people planning to tune in, it probably will ??
But beyond that, the trailer doesn’t really pull me in. I get that it’s supposed to be some sort of thriller but eh ????. I loved the previous season because of its campiness and what it was about – Obi facing a scandal and dealing with the fall out from it. This? not so much.
Nigerian thrillers have never done it for me. Besides, the trailer didn’t even get me excited at all. I know the trailers are supposed to keep you guessing but…I don’t know, we’ll see.
I’ll probably catch the first episode and decide from there. I want to be very clear oh, I’m going in with hopes of liking this show and this season. I might be disappointed in the trailer but if they can deliver, then I’ll be on board. But until then, I shall approach with cautious optimism.
Also, who knows when we’re getting the next season of Skinny Girl In Transit? I was addicted.
