Our Genny is going places and we couldn’t be prouder ???

Are you familiar with the Nigerian British actor – Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje from Thor: The Dark World, Pompeii, Oz, Lost, Suicide Squad, G.I. Joe: Rise Of The Cobra and The Bourne Identity? Well, he has just cast Genevieve in his directorial debut – Farming – which will include Kate Beckinsale (Underworld) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Touch, Belle, Concussion).

The semi-autobiographical movie with also include another Nigerian-British Actor – Damson Idris, who is currently starring on FX’s Snowfall.

The movie’s title, Farming…

…is in reference to the practise of Nigerian parents “farming out” their children to white UK families… Kate Beckinsale will be playing his abusive, neglectful foster mother and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as his teacher and mentor.

While Genevieve’s role has not been disclosed yet, Damon Idris will take on the lead role as Enitan (a young Adewale).

The movie will follow the life of Enitan who was sent to the UK by his parents in an attempt to give him a better life but things don’t go as planned when he becomes the leader of a white skinhead gang in the 80s, until he meets Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s character who helps him turn his life around.
