Kacey rohl

#WomanCrushWednesday: Kacey Rohl, New Sci-Fi Princess?

Okay, we have to take a moment to appreciate the absolutely stunning, absolutely talented Kacey Rohl.

I like Kacey. I really like her tbh and she has steadily been appearing in all my favourite shows (and some of yours) since I first came across her on the cult favourite, Hannibal.where she played Abigail Hobbs.

See, all an actress needs to be crowned as a ‘scream queen’ is to appear in at least three horror movies or so. So with that logic, we should be able to crown Sci-Fi/Fantasy Queens based on their body of work in the genre.

Perhaps, if we give crown Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana and Felicia Day as Queens of Sci-Fi; we have to also crown Kacey, ‘Princess’, perhaps – due to her extensive work on Sci-fi/fantasy television shows.

Kacey Rohl first won my heart playing the complex, beautiful, layered Abigail Hobbs on Hannibal, Bring back Hannibal!!!!! Yeah, I know, Hannibal is not a sci-fi show – but it is the show that brought her to my attention. Thank you, Hannibal.

But on her Sci-fi/Fantasy pedigree, Kacey appeared in 2011’s fantasy movie – Red Riding Hood – which starred Amanda Seyfried and was produced by Leonardo DiCaprio. Kacey also appeared in the science fiction television show – Caprica, Tower Prep as well and the hit sci-fi show – Fringe.

In 2012, Kacey Rohl appeared in Supernatural and later appeared in the horror fantasy anthology show R. L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour: The Series; fantasy show – The Magicians; Sci-fi series –iZombie; sci-fi show – Wayward Pines, the return of The X-files, another fan-favourite sci-fi show; she also had a recurring role on fantasy show – Once upon a Time and Arrow, a show that leaned into sci-fi and fantasy mythos.

You can’t deny a resume like that though, somebody give this woman her RESPECT and her her crown.

I don’t know if it’s intentional or not, but she is certainly carving out an interesting career in one of the biggest genres ever, building loyal fans in the sci-fi genre means she has fans for life.

I can’t even begin to explain it, I’m pretty impressed.

Obviously, she hasn’t only starred in sci-fi movies, she proved that she can also carry a comedic lead role as seen in her TV show, Working The Engels. She also appeared on Cracked, The Killing, Geek Charming, and Played.

Mark my words, people of earth!!!! Her star will only continue to grow from here.
