A New Black Panther Trailer Is Out….This Is What Paradise Looks Like

You guys!!! A new trailer Black Panther is out and it looks even more amazing than the last one.

I think I just died and went to heaven.

Today was a pretty standard boring type Monday, so nothing in how the day played out told me to be prepared. Even if I had been warned, I don’t think I could have been prepared for this…

See the new trailer for yourself below:

Are you not happy that you watched it?

I am literally as anticipated for this as I was for Captain America: Civil War which is saying something and I’m sure you can see why.

As an African comic book nerd, I’ve always loved Black Panther, but Marvel really brought their A-game with this one. The casting is just amazing – Chadwick Boseman with that accent I’m going to have to get used to, Michael B. Jordan (who really deserves everything good life offers him), Lupita Nyong’o and Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue. Andy Serkis’ casting really, really excites me because he is an excellent actor and since he mostly does Motion Capture action, we don’t get to see him as much as we’d like in live action movies …so yeah, this is a treat.

I also like that Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) got more screentime in this trailer, he is immediately presented as a super-capable and formidable foe for T’Challa (Black Panther for the noobs).

Besides that, and besides the amazing acting we just saw (We see you Angela Bassett!) – DID Y’ALL SEE WAKANDA?!!! I’m swooning. While we’re chilling in 2017, Wakanda is already in year 3000.

But enough with the hype – the fact is, Black Panther is a very important addition to the MCU because it is the first Marvel movie to predominantly feature an African American cast. And with Ryan Coogler directing it – you already know it’s going to be good. Ryan Coogler’s first feature-length movie, Fruitvale Station, which was about the last 24 hours of Oscar Grant III’s life, was a critical and commercial success – making an excellent debut for Coogler. His next movie, Creed, a spin-off of the Rocky film series also followed suit and as expected, went on to make a lot of ???. So basically, he’s going for the trifecta with this one.

Black Panther will be released on February 16, 2018….We Are Not Worthy.
